Titans head coach Mike Munchak said:
Shonn Greene, starting today, [will] be a lot more active. Now it's just a matter of seeing how [he handles] more activity. I think the rest part and the light stuff is over, and now he can get more into real football stuff, and now it's just a matter of how quickly he progresses without pain. We'll see how Shonn is this week running and how he handles and how his knee responds to more football-like activity."
Greene has been out since Week 2, and with Jackie Battle injured last week, the timing is good for the Titans and their struggling running game. The struggles could continue this week, though, in a late afternoon game against the 49ers. Greene is expected to go back to being the goal line back when he returns. Battle would be the team's RB3 behind Chris Johnson.
