Browns WR Mohamed Massaquoi practiced for the first time since he injured a hamstring Sept. 23 during the third quarter of the Browns’ 24-14 loss to the Buffalo Bills. Rookie wide receiver Travis Benjamin (hamstring) practiced after sitting out Sunday.

Coach Pat Shurmur said rookie wide receiver Josh Gordon would still have a prominent role in the offense once other receivers return from injuries. Gordon has tallied five catches for 181 yards and three touchdowns in the past two games.

“Josh is one of our guys,” Shurmur said.

Here's the full quote:

(On if Josh Gordon will still have a prominent role in the offense when other receivers come back from injury) – “Sure, Josh is one of our guys and I think I’m excited to see him continue to improve. I don’t remember exactly where we were talking about this, but he did not have the benefit of an offseason. So, I was telling him, I said, ‘this first five weeks was your offseason and it’s time to get it going even faster than what you’re doing.’ He has had a little bit of a taste of success, and much like I talked to the team about being greedy about that feeling that you get when you win, he needs to be greedy about that feeling you get when you succeed and have production. That’s what we’re working on.”

Fantasy Impact:

One would think that Gordon has earned a spot at the top of the Browns' depth chart after the 181 yards he has gained and the three touchdowns he's scored in the last two weeks. Cleveland simply doesn't have any other WRs who have been able to produce at that level. Still, fantasy owners need to be careful when the other Cleveland WRs get healthy. Gordon may very well see fewer snaps, which could lead to a reduction in production.
