Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan said he expects starting quarterback Donovan McNabb to return to workouts next week, when the team will be preparing to open the season against Dallas. McNabb hasn't practiced since spraining his left ankle Aug. 21 against Baltimore.

"I expect him to be able to practice next week," Shanahan said following Tuesday's practice. "I think he does too. You never know. We'll see how the injury goes. We know he's hurting right now, but we think he'll be good to go next week."

Fantasy Impact:

Good news for McNabb owners. Shanahan is back to his "mind games" with the injury reports.
