The Titans sat WR Kenny Britt for April’s minicamp because he wasn’t up to speed conditioning-wise and had missed parts of the offseason training program. Britt admitted he’d been lackadaisical in his approach and wasn’t in the best shape.

Now he's been cleared to practice. He said he’s worked with strength and conditioning coach Steve Watterson and feels in much better shape. In the future, however, Britt knows he has to be ready to start from the beginning with his teammates.

“It definitely is a wake-up call,’’ Britt said. “You come in and you think you are going to practice and you tape up and you are ready to go out there and coaches are like, 'Take it easy. We want to see where you’re at and don’t want you to pull anything like last year' when I pulled my hamstring. That’s something we don’t want to do again, where I sit out because of injury and get fat… and have to drop weight again.’’

Fantasy Impact:

Britt emerged as the go-to receiver last year on Tennessee, but that didn't always mean the Titan passing game was consistent. Britt should be a nice depth addition to your WR corps this season, okay to play in certain matchups.
