TE Brandon Pettigrew, who is coming off a serious knee injury, looked agile today at the Detroit Lions’ organized team activity in Allen Park.

Pettigrew took part in individual drills but sat out the team drills as the Lions practiced in shorts and helmets. Coach Jim Schwartz did not put a definite timetable on their full returns, but he is encouraged by their progress.

“[Pettigrew and RB Kevin Smith] are starting to do individual-type drills,” Schwartz said. “They’re still not even close to being cleared for team work and competitive stuff. They’re not right in the middle of a long-term rehab, but they’re probably more past the middle. But they still have a long way to go."
