Titans RB Derrick Henry focused on catching passes

It’s been a common theme throughout the first couple of weeks in training camp: Running back Derrick Henry is dedicating plenty of time to improving as a receiver.

In between team periods at Tuesday’s practice, in what was a lull in the action for offensive starters, Henry once again worked one-on-one with running backs coach Tony Dews, catching balls while on the run. He didn’t drop any passes.

Fantasy Impact:

Outside of a 75-yard catch on a screen that Henry took for a touchdown in Week 1 of last season, Henry was mostly a nonfactor as a pass catcher in 2019. But he appears committed to changing that in 2020. It remains to be seen how much the Titans will use Henry on passing down situations, where they normally rolled with No. 2 running back Dion Lewis last season, the story said. Lewis is now with the Giants and we think Evans could get work behind Henry, perhaps especially in the passing game. Henry would get a nice boost in fantasy value with any kind of work in the passing game.
