Carnell Tate reportedly took a big hit at the end of Tennessee Titans practice on Monday. Robert Saleh said afterwards that he was a bit shaken up, but that they did not think he had a concussion. So no real cause for concern until practice started today and there was no sign of Tate.
The good news is that Saleh said after practice today that Tate was held out because of stiffness. His absence today was not related to the hit he took earlier in the week. Hopefully, he will be available for the joint practice with the Seattle Seahawks on Friday. That is valuable work for a rookie.

Fantasy Impact:
Saleh’s explanation makes this sound minor, but Tate is being selected in the sixth round, so any extended time missed will start to put his role on what could be a pretty bad offense in question. His participation Friday should clarify whether Wednesday was merely precautionary.
