Packers fire head coach Mike McCarthy

The Mike McCarthy era in Green Bay is over.

The Packers announced Sunday that they have fired the head coach of 13 seasons. Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin has been named interim coach.

Fantasy Impact:

Packers President and CEO Mike Murphy went on to say in a release, "The 2018 season has not lived up to the expectations and standards of the Green Bay Packers. McCarthy's firing came just hours after Green Bay fell to 4-7-1 with a loss to the Arizona Cardinals at Lambeau Field.
