Jonathan Taylor is expected to share carries with starter Marlon Mack, but don’t be surprised if the rookie has a few breakout games and HC Frank Reich stays with him.

Fantasy Impact:

The story said the coaches are impressed by Taylor's physical appearance and the rookies have been in the building longer than anyone so coaches are getting good looks. It added Reich likes riding the hot hand, so if Taylor is giving a defense trouble, the author thinks Reich will keep calling his number.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hand) took full practice reps again Friday. HC Frank Reich said that Mack won't be on a "pitch count," though his matchup with the Bucs is very tough and Mack isn't typically utilized much as a receiver.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hand, out) missed practice all week and is out for Week 13. Jonathan Williams figures to lead the backfield in touches though the team said it wants Jordan Wilkins to be more involved this week.

Colts RB Marlon Mack (hand) did not practice Wednesday. Mack is expected to miss Week 13. Jonathan Williams is a solid RB2 after the Colts gave him bellcow-type touches in Week 12.

Colts RB Marlon Mack won't play Week 13

Colts running back Marlon Mack had hand surgery last week and he’s not going to be ready to return to the lineup this week.

Head coach Frank Reich said on Monday that Mack will not play against the Titans in Week 13. It will be the second game that Mack has missed since suffering the injury in a Week 11 win over the Jaguars.

Fantasy Impact:

Looks like Williams and Hines will carry the load again in Week 13. Williams had 26 carries for 104 yards and a TD last week while Hines was a nice change of pace running nine times for 51 yards.

Colts RB Jordan Wilkins (ankle) practiced fully Wednesday. It looks like Wilkins will be fine to play in Week 12, which means he may resume as the lead back behind an injured Marlon Mack. Wilkins has run ahead of Williams all year and has gained 165 yards on 27 carries (6.1 YPC). There’s no real reason (other than injury) for the Colts to play Williams ahead of Wilkins with Mack sidelined.
