McKissic is dealing with a concussion. He'll have a chance to return for Week 18, which could be a meaningful game assuming Washington can remain in the playoff hunt - or it could be a meaningless game in which they don't risk McKissic's return. Williams and Patterson should see time behind Gibson going forward.
WAS RB Jonathan Williams - Week 17 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 17 vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Jonathan Williams will likely get extended playing time this week as Antonio Gibson has been listed as OUT. We'd expect Jaret Patterson to get the bulk of the carries with Williams and possibly Wendell Smallwood as receiving threats. Earlier in the year, Ron Rivera said Smallwood would fill in the J.D. McKissic role "to a degree" but we haven't really seen it. Williams would be a better option, but he's also a player who has 36 total offensive snaps on the year. Williams would be a risky option in the fantasy championship. He's not much more than a desperation flex play against the Eagles.
