On Thursday night, a facemask tackle of Jets receiver Brandon Marshall caused his knee to twist in a way that the human knee typically doesn’t. He feared the worst possible outcome; he ended up with the best.
“Brandon is fine,” Jets coach Todd Bowles told reporters on Friday. “He has a sore knee. He got some treatment, but he’s walking around pretty good.”
It seemed certain that Marshall had a serious knee injury on Thursday. Instead, he returned after a brief absence, played well, and by all appearances won’t miss a beat, according to the story.
