Jaguars Beat: 'Painful' to watch first team offense

Logic would suggest that Urban Meyer wouldn’t pop the hood on Jacksonville’s full scheme in preseason games against the Browns, Saints and Cowboys. But it’s not as if the opponents are emptying the playbook, either, and for the second consecutive game, it was painful to watch the first offense the Jaguars put on the field. The tempo was sluggish.

The story said Meyer's frustration maybe stems from not having better players than everyone else, like he's used to. The story added Lawrence still held the ball too long at times, the protection was faulty and the receivers couldn’t get separation. To make matters worse, first-round tailback Etienne left the game with a foot injury. He was in a boot Monday night, and ESPN reported Tuesday that Etienne is out indefinitely with a foot sprain. We reported earlier it's a potential Lisfranc injury.
