Darrius Heyward-Bey sprains knee

Darrius Heyward-Bey has encountered a road block in his quest for a starting job with the Indianapolis Colts.

The veteran wide receiver, signed by the Colts in April, limped off the practice field Sunday with a sprained knee, according to The Indianapolis Star.

Heyward-Bey's recovery timetable is unclear, though it's fair to wonder about the former first-round pick's availability for the Colts' preseason opener against the Buffalo Bills next Sunday.

Heyward-Bey is hoping to hold off T.Y. Hilton as the Colts' starting receiver opposite Reggie Wayne.

Hilton was getting high praise from HC Chuck Pagano just very recently despite the fact DHB was running with the first team.

Egbuka missed practice Wednesday but was able to get a limited practice in on Friday, a positive sign for Sunday. The Bucs are already dealing with a number of injuries, particularly on the offensive and defensive lines. Egbuka has already busted onto the scene with three tackles touchdowns in his first two NFL games.

Fantasy Impact:

Worthy is making progress, as he was limited all week in practice and was initially listed as questionable. The Chiefs may just be being cautious with Worthy this early in the season. But this could lead one to believe Worthy could be back in Week 4.
