CB Trumaine Johnson to sign with the New York Jets

The New York Jets are about to add some much-needed help in the secondary with the signing of CB Trumaine Johnson. The exact terms of the deal have not been made public yet, but Ian Rapoport reports it will be in the vicinity of $15 million per year.

Chargers officially are listing RB Austin Ekeler and S Derwin James as doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Raiders.

Fantasy Impact:

The role that we had pegged for Joshua Kelley in Austin Ekeler's absence has not been as fruitful as most hoped, including his 12 yards on 11 attempts in Week 3. The footage of Ekeler at practice floating around was mostly just him jumping up and down, not actively participating in practice, so we'll keep an eye on his situation as the week progresses.

Ravens WRs Odell Beckham and Rashod Bateman officially OUT for Week 4

Ravens ruled out WRs Odell Beckham Jr and Rashod Bateman for Sunday’s game at Cleveland.

Related Players: Zay Flowers, Mark Andrews, Nelson Agholor

Fantasy Impact:

To this point in the season, Beckham has been on the field long enough to garner seven targets, while Bateman has season more playing time but only has nine. In a twist, Nelson Agholor has outproduced both of them. Zay Flowers should be considered a WR3 with way better upside than that as we had into Week 4.

Lions WR Jameson Williams being reinstated two weeks early

As a result of gambling policy changes, Titans’ OT Nick Petit-Frere and Lions’ WR Jameson Williams will be reinstated effective on Monday. They each had served four-game suspensions for violations of the league’s gambling policy.

Fantasy Impact:

Williams could be eased back into action as he has hardly played with his offense since being taken in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, but he is a great target for your inevitable playoff run. Reynolds, Jones, and Raymond will presumably all get majorly knocked down one or two pegs of usage when the sophomore wideout returns.
