Cardinals WR Zay Jones (Achilles) out for season

Veteran Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Zay Jones will miss the rest of the season after tearing his left Achilles in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, coach Jonathan Gannon announced Monday.

The injury occurred late in the second quarter on a second-and-3 pass from quarterback Jacoby Brissett to Jones in the back of the end zone.

Fantasy Impact:

Jones' two-year tenure with the Cardinals has been rocky. He missed the first six games last season, the first five for a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and one because of an injury. Before the Cardinals bye week, Jones jumped back on the fantasy radar with two fairly productive games, but over the last two weeks after the bye had just one target before getting injured.

Bad news for the Jets offense: WR Garrett Wilson is expected to miss at least 3-4 weeks with a knee sprain, source says.

Fantasy Impact:

The Jets were hopeful Wilson could play this week, a Thursday night game, but that won't be the case. As the post added, the good news is no surgery is needed, just rehab. Wilson's injury could bring him back for the fantasy playoffs, but he'll be tough to trust if Justin Fields is still under center. A lot could happen at QB for the Jets between now and Wilson's potential return.

Fantasy Impact:

The Chiefs are coming off their bye and so it's not a great sign that Pacheco isn't ready to go. Hunt should be the team's main back with the rookie Smith likely getting a few more touches, perhaps especially in the passing game. There was even an Edwards-Helaire sighting back in Week 9, as the Chiefs continue to recycle running backs.

Texans QB C.J. Stroud still in concussion protocol

Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud missed Sunday’s comeback win over the Jaguars with a concussion and his status for Week 11 remains unclear on Monday.

Head coach DeMeco Ryans said at a Monday press conference that Stroud remains in the concussion protocol. He will have to clear it in order to play in Nashville against the Titans this week.

Fantasy Impact:

Mills played pretty well filling in for Stroud and would have a nice matchup this week if Stroud is unable to return. Stroud didn't look good after a taking a late hit in Week 9's game, and so it's not surprising, based on that, he would need more time. We'll hopefully know more later this week.
