We didn't expect Mixon to pass concussion protocol and that's exactly what happened. He'll miss the team's Week 14 contest against the Bears.
Giovani Bernard will be the Bengals' starting running back. It's a tough matchup for Bengals backs this week, as the Bears are ranked fourth in aFPA vs. RBs. Still, Bernard should see plenty of volume and is in the low-end RB1/high-end RB2 discussion this week. We like Bernard more in PPR leagues, where we have him ranked as our No. 11 RB this week. In standard leagues, he' our No. 14 ranked RB.
Of note: receiving-specialist backs have done well in the passing game versus the Bears this season. Tevin Coleman, LeVeon Bell, Jerick McKinnon, Christian McCaffrey, the combo of Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara have all caught at least 4 passes against Chicago this season.
