Tim Tebow is expected to be one-and-done with the Jets, and now that the potential landing spot in his hometown of Jacksonville is officially closed, the NFL may have seen the last of Tebow Mania.
“Here’s the reason it could be over for him: the distraction,” the source said. “It’s not that someone wouldn’t like to look at him, but the distraction he brings to an organization is not worth it. Now you’ve got two places he’s been and both are adamant that he can’t play quarterback. Adamant. Both paid a heckuva price to kick the tires.”
We're not completely convinced that the Jacksonville door is fully closed. New GM David Caldwell said, “I can’t imagine a scenario in which he’ll be a Jacksonville Jaguar — even if he’s released.” But talking about another team's players is tampering and Caldwell could be playing coy so that he can get Tebow for free. Time will tell.
