Michael Lombardi on Twitter: "Running back DeAngelo Williams will be finalized today--Carolina, Giants, Broncos all in the mix--Panthers have a slight lead."
Meanwhile, the Denver Post reports that "the Broncos' budget constraints may preclude them from signing a feature ball carrier such as DeAngelo Williams. Although Fox is the only head coach Williams played for in his five seasons with the Panthers, the Broncos would like to sign a back for roughly half Williams' contract."
It's interesting that there's no mention of the Dolphins, who were once the most-mentioned landing spot for Williams. Given that list of teams, the Giants would be a best-case scenario from a fantasy standpoint, because Ahmad Bradshaw would likely sign elsewhere (Miami?) giving fantasy owners four good options (Williams, Bradshaw, Jonathan Stewart, Knowshon Moreno) at RB2 in the early rounds.
