The Miami Dolphins claimed former Texans RB Steve Slaton on waivers.
The rise and fall of Steve Slaton has been one of the more perplexing stories in fantasy circles in recent years. A former first round fantasy pick, Slaton was relegated to RB4 duties in Houston before being cut. HC Gary Kubiak lauded Slaton for the work he's done to shape his game to fit the Texans' mold. But he was cut anyway, which is probably a good sign for Arian Foster owners -- it's unlikely that they'd feel comfortable cutting Slaton if they didn't think Foster would be back this season.
Slaton joins a crowded Dolphins backfield that is now led by Daniel Thomas and Reggie Bush. It's unlikely that he'll see any significant playing time as long as those two RBs are healthy.
