In a move that was expected, Miami Dolphins running back Lamar Miller appears to have won the battle to start.
Miller was listed as the first-string back on the Dolphins' latest depth chart that the team released Monday. Coach Joe Philbin was mum when asked about the starting gig during his Monday afternoon news conference, only saying a depth chart would be released.
It was obvious to everyone Miller is a superior talent to backup Daniel Thomas. But, the coaching staff kept saying the race was "neck-and-neck," most likely to light a fire under Miller who didn't really come out and grab the job. Miller will probably end up a decent RB2 fantasy options most weeks this season.
