Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin has been ruled out for Week 3.
With Maclin out, expect Damaris Johnson to be the main beneficiary among the WRs. Some may point to Jason Avant, but in the four games that either DeSean Jackson or Jeremy Maclin missed in 2011, Avant was entirely unpredictable. He posted 1-2, 1-13, 8-110-1 and 1-10 in those four games, and his average targets (4.8) over that span actually decreased from his average targets in the other 12 games that season (5.2). Instead, it was Riley Cooper who saw 27 targets in Weeks 11-13, posting 13-240-1 in three games, though he failed to catch a pass in Week 10. Johnson will fill Cooper's role in Week 3. The other player who should benefit is Brent Celek, who saw 11 targets with Maclin knocked out of Week 2. DeSean Jackson becomes a safer start as well.
