It turns out St. Louis quarterback A.J. Feeley suffered blows to both his thumb and his elbow on his throwing arm midway through his one and only series at quarterback Saturday night against Cleveland.
The injury was originally announced only as a thumb injury. But X-rays of the thumb and elbow were negative, and Feeley expects to be back at quarterback for the Rams in their next preseason game Thursday at New England.
"There’s a little soreness…but I’m good," Feeley said after the Rams' 19-17 victory. "Get a little treatment and should be ready to go by next week. Definitely."
Feeley had both the thumb and elbow wrapped after the game.
