His four-game suspension over, RB Mike Goodson said he expects to play Monday night when the Jets travel to face the Atlanta Falcons in Week 5.
Goodson has been suspended since Aug. 31 for a violation of the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse. The suspension stemmed from an incident in May when Goodson and another man were found in an SUV on Route 80 in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets. Goodson was intoxicated and transported to the hospital.
Goodson worked out twice a day to stay in shape and he said he's ready to go. He'll compete for RB2 duties behind Bilal Powell. Keep in mind Chris Ivory is out with a hamstring injury with no timetable to return.
