The Eagles for the second straight game played without cornerback Asante Samuel, who was out with a sprained knee.
“He was close [to playing]. He’s close,” head coach Andy Reid said. “He wanted to go. His lateral mobility wasn’t good enough, so we held him out.”
Samuel suffered the injury two weeks ago against the Giants. The Eagles improved to 2-1 this season without Samuel, who also missed last Sunday’s loss to Chicago and the Week 5 win at San Francisco (concussion).
