Cleveland places second-round tender on Kareem Hunt

Texans RB David Montgomery could miss time with a groin injury, head coach DeMeco Ryans said after Sunday’s win over the Titans.

Monty suffered the during the second quarter. He tallied 11 yards on five carries before leaving. It’s been quite the struggle for Monty since his 3-touchdown outing in Week 1. He has not scored more than seven fantasy points in his last four games. In fact, he hasn’t even reached 50 total yards in that stretch. Woody Marks stands to take over the lead role in the Houston backfield. The 1-4 Texans travel to London to meet the 4-1 Jaguars in Week 6 before a date with the Giants in Week 7 and then Houston has their bye in Week 8.

49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel left Sunday’s game against the Seahawks with a hamstring injury.

Samuel was injured one of the 49ers’ turnovers in the third quarter and was quickly ruled out. He was in obvious pain on the bench. The hits just keep on coming for the 49ers, who have struggled on offense in Seattle, despite scoring two touchdowns. Mike Evans is still leading the charge and Brandin Cooks is among those also mixing into the offense.

The Texans are acquiring WR Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Cardinals.

The Cardinals are getting a 2nd and 6th-round picks in 2027 in return while also sending a 7th to Houston. The mystery is over. It was reported that Harrison was being traded but the team was never revealed, perhaps as a way to drive up the price for other teams. Still, getting a 2nd-round pick in what should be a strong 2027 class for Harrison is a win for Arizona. Harrison now gets a chance to rejuvenate his career in Houston with C.J. Stroud now as his quarterback, reuniting from their Ohio State days together. The emergence of Michael Wilson also helped.
