Browns expected to go with QB Deshaun Watson for Week 2

"I anticipate Deshaun Watson will be our starter," Week 2 for the Browns, per Todd Monken.

Fantasy Impact:

Watson finished with 205 yards passing, a touchdown and an interception. He also had at least one pass that could have been a second interception. Watson added 38 yards rushing on six carries. It was a rough start for Watson and the Browns were down 24-0 at the half. His lone TD pass came in the fourth quarter and by that point the score was 34-3. Watson seemed to be on a two-week trial before the Browns returned home in Week 3. One would think Watson will need to play very well in Week 2 to have any chance of playing in front of the home fans he has an unsteady relationship with in Week 3.

Thomas left the game but did return, making his status for Week 2 at least a little safer of a call for fantasy owners at this point in the week. Thomas had a 3-40-0 line in Week 1 and was targeted three times. Thomas had been dealing with a shoulder injury in camp but looks like he'll be on the field for what should be a tough matchup against the Broncos.

McConkey was getting tests done on Monday and the hope is we know a little more later today. McConkey left the game and didn't return but had a line of 5-82-1.

It's a great sign Henderson is able to get back on the practice field early in the week after he missed Week 1's game last Wednesday. Henderson is at least trending in the right direction for Week 2, and could end up a much-needed weapon in the passing game, especially now with A.J. Brown on IR. The Patriots host the Steelers in an early window game in Week 2.
