The Broncos have officially listed five players as questionable for Sunday’s season opener at Cincinnati on the injury report the team is required to submit to the league.
Those players are: QB Kyle Orton (finger), RB Knowshon Moreno (knee), RG Chris Kuper (ankle), QB Chris Simms (ankle) and WR Jabar Gaffney (thumb).
Orton is expected to start barring a setback in the next day and a half with the stitches in his right index finger. Moreno said Friday that he expects to play. Simms would only play if Orton cannot.
The only two players who have been ruled out are safety Josh Barrett (shoulder) and defensive end Le Kevin Smith (knee).
