Lions Take on Packers in Green Bay

In the NFC North, it's the Lions and the Packers meeting in Green Bay in a matchup of two of the best teams in the NFC. Each squad made the playoffs last season, and the Lions were the division champions with a 15-2 record. Green Bay just added edge rusher Micah Parsons in a trade with the Cowboys, but he is expected to be limited in the opener. The Lions offense is led by Jared Goff and a stellar backfield that contains Jahmyr Gibbs, along with David Montgomery. The Packers are slight favorites (-1.5) and the kickoff is at 4:25 pm ET.

Hunter Debuts Against Panthers

No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter will be playing both sides of the ball in his NFL debut as the Jaguars take on the Panthers at 1 pm ET. Hunter will play most downs at wide receiver while being used situationally at cornerback. Hunter is coming off winning the Heisman Trophy last season as one of the best two-way players in college football history. The Jaguars are favored (-3.5) at home and hope to get back on track after missing the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.

Daniels, Commanders Meet Giants

A lot of attention will be on Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, and expectations are high for the 2025 season. Daniels threw 25 touchdown passes while adding 6 scores on the ground to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He helped the Commanders reach the NFC Championship Game after a 12-5 regular season. The Commanders start the season with the Giants at home at 1 pm ET. Washington is favored (-6.5) in the contest.

Bills Meet Ravens on Sunday Night

On Sunday Night Football, we have the Ravens taking on the Bills in a battle of two of the best quarterbacks in the league. Josh Allen is fresh off the 2024 MVP after leading the Bills to a 13-4 record and an appearance in the AFC Championship Game. Allen had 40 total touchdowns (28 pass, 12 rush) in a dominant season. On the other side, Lamar Jackson was a First-Team All-Pro after throwing 41 touchdown passes in 2024. He teamed up with Derrick Henry (16 rush TD) in an insanely dynamic backfield. The Ravens are slight favorites on the road (-1.5) in what will be a heated matchup after the Bills ended Baltimore's season last year.
