Fantasy Football Quarterback Streaming Week 4: Geno Smith Stands Out In Matchup With Bears

With injuries sidelining several quarterbacks, we didn’t see a lot of juicy stat lines from the position during Week 3. Justin Herbert led all quarterbacks with 300 passing yards. There were only five total quarterbacks who threw for at least 280 yards. If there was a bright side, it was that 12 quarterbacks had at least two passing touchdowns.
Injuries will once again have an impact on Week 4. At the very least, Joe Burrow (toe) and J.J. McCarthy (ankle) will miss another game. The good news for fantasy managers is that bye weeks haven’t started yet, leaving additional streaming options.
For streaming purposes, 4for4’s Schedule-Adjusted Fantasy Points Allowed (aFPA) is a metric we rely heavily on to determine weekly matchup strength. As the season progresses and more data is available, aFPA becomes more and more reliable, using rolling 10-week data.

Week 3 Recap
Two of our streamers from last week finished inside the top-11 at quarterback. Sam Darnold finished as QB9, throwing for 218 yards and two touchdowns in a rout over the Saints. With the Saints building a big lead early, he only attempted 18 passes in the game. Our other success story was Daniel Jones, who had 228 passing yards, 27 rushing yards, and one touchdown versus the Titans.
Michael Penix Jr. was our biggest disappointment of the week. The Falcons lost 30-0 to the Panthers, which was one of the most shocking results from all of the games. Penix was a major part of the problem, throwing two interceptions in the defeat. He completed just 18 of his 36 attempts for 172 yards, marking the second straight week that he finished with fewer than 175 passing yards.
