Perfect Draft: 10th in a 12-Team ESPN PPR League

The 1/2 turn of drafts this year is as strong as I can remember. There is a litany of elite receivers and running backs going in that range, giving you access to several different intriguing roster builds. In this article, I will walk through my favorite players in each round drafting from the No. 10 spot in a 12-team PPR league, discussing my overall strategy to build a realistic and dominant team.
The 4for4 staff uses the Draft Hero software for all of our leagues. Draft Hero syncs directly to your league and optimizes each pick using projections and value-based rankings from 4for4. Draft Hero lets you customize your draft experience with settings on which rounds you want to draft a position, how many players you want at each position, and players to target or avoid.

My Plan of Attack When Drafting 10th
Roster Settings: 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (WR/RB/TE), 1 Kicker, 1 DEF, 7 bench spots
It is obviously important to remain flexible during your fantasy drafts, but here’s a general overview of how I’d like to build my roster from the No. 10 spot:
- Load up on early running backs: I am a way bigger fan of the running backs in the 3rd-5th round range than the receivers, and vice versa for the 7th-9th round. So, I’m looking to take three running backs with my first four picks, and then hammer receivers later on.
- Wait on quarterback and tight end: Although there is certainly merit to taking one of the elite rushing QBs in the 3rd or 4th round, the late-round QB and TE selection this year is good enough that I would rather spend those earlier picks on running backs and receivers.
- Avoid one-dimensional running backs: Since this is a full PPR league, I will be placing an emphasis on drafting running backs who offer pass-catching upside.
