GPP Stacks, Fades and Leverage Plays: Week 7

This week features multiple high-point spreads, so for strategy purposes, you don't need to necessarily force run-backs in these games because there are better opportunities in the same price range as one-offs. For example, the Cardinals are 17.5-point favorites against the Houston Texans, and we have Brandin Cooks as the clear-cut run-back option in the game. On DraftKings, you have Chris Godwin for $100 less with double the implied total; on FanDuel, you have Jaylen Waddle for $600 less in a much more competitive game. DFS creates different avenues each week to exploit the field, and I am a big preacher in utilizing game stacks, but this week is a unique week to get creative with some pricing.

On the year, the Detroit Lions have been statistically one of the worst pass defenses in football, but have allowed just one 300-yard passer and only two quarterbacks to throw for multiple touchdowns. In those multi-touchdown games, running backs caught two or more of those scores.

The Chiefs give up 5.2 yards per carry and take on Derrick Henry, but no running back has run for over 100 yards against Kansas City. Additionally, no running back has received over 15 carries against the Chiefs. Henry will get a ton of work but paying off his price in tournaments is a tough task.

The Washington Football Team has given up a league-leading five games to wide receivers in which they got eight or more receptions. They take on Davante Adams this week, who had a disappointing week last weekend but is in line for a big bounce back.

For my GPP article this week, you have the player pools that I am using between each site and game stacks, mini stacks, and some one-offs. The player pool is designed to simplify lineup builds. I will mention Z-Score quite a bit and if you don't know what Z-Score is, check out the preseason article I wrote by clicking here.

The three tools I am using the most when considering building my lineups are the Cumulative Ownership Projections, DFS Correlation Tool, and the Stack Value Report at 4for4.

If you haven't checked out the DFS Playbook, please do so because it will guide you on how to approach each position, and you can align that with some of the plays you will read below.
