Primetime DFS Slate Breakdown: Week 5

The Week 5 Primetime slate on FanDuel and DraftKings brings us two intriguing games. The Sunday Night games see the somewhat surprising Indianapolis Colts taking on the high-flying Kansas City Chiefs while on Monday Night, Cleveland looks to build on the momentum from an impressive win last week against an undefeated San Francisco 49ers team. The Sunday Night game will once again catch the eyes and clicks of DFS players, but the Monday Night game has the potential for the most fantasy goodness.

Let's break down the games and how we can find the edge that will get us to the top of the standings.

Injuries

A lot of noise here and not much of substance that will impact the games as projected. Tevin Coleman isn't likely to play and we know Tyreek Hill will not play. The main questionables on this list in Marlon Mack. T.Y. Hilton, Damien Williams, and Sammy Watkins are all expected to play. If any of those four miss, it will have an obvious impact so keep an eye out for the pre-game inactives so you can make adjustments as needed. For the purposes of this article, however, we will presume all four are playing.

Evaluation of Vegas Spread and Total and What Players Benefit

Kansas City -11 Over/Under 56
San Francisco -4.5 Over/Under 46.5

The two games have some stark contrasts with one an expected blowout that sees a lot of points because of the high-scoring Chiefs offense. The other a fairly competitive game with some scoring potential. I have done individual breakdowns for each of the PrimeTime games including an in-depth look at the Vegas spreads and totals and what players benefit most. You can find that analysis here:
