NFL DFS Week 2 Early-Only Slate Breakdown

Here I will be breaking down the early slate (1pm only) and discussing my general strategy for both cash games and tournaments.

Cash Game Strategy

Quarterback

While there are some top-end options that could be worth paying up for, the rest of my lineup construction will force me to target some cheaper signal callers this week. Dak Prescott ($7,700 FD/$6,300 DK) shredded the Giants for 405 yards and four touchdowns last week. The Redskins defense is a bit more respectable but the Cowboys still have the fourth-highest implied total on the slate. After holding the Eagles in check through the first half, the Redskins gave up three passing touchdowns to Carson Wentz. The Seattle Seahawks gave up two touchdown passes of their own to a far from intimidating Cincinnati Bengals offense. This week they are matched up with the struggling but strong-on-paper Pittsburgh Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger ($7,600 FD/$5,800 DK) was third in the NFL in pass attempts last season and threw the fourth-most passes last week. With James Connor and JuJu Smith-Schuster back to full health, the Steelers could be set up for a big performance here. Josh Allen ($7,500 FD/$5,300 DK) is coming off a poor game but is in a get right spot against the Giants. We expected this Bills offense to be a run-first unit but they actually started last week's game with 17 straight dropbacks. Allen's 24 completed passes were the most of his career so far and that should continue in this cupcake matchup.
