Packers WR Davante Adams was placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.
Players who are vaccinated must have two negative tests 24 hours apart to be activated. As we reported earlier today, the Packers are in advanced COVID protocol because of DC Joe Barry who tested positive. The Packers travel to the Cardinals on Thursday night and as a result of all this, Adams' status is now very much up in the air on a short week for this key NFC showdown. There could be more Packers popping up on this list, so this is worth monitoring very closely over the next few days.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, wide receiver: Do with this observation what you wish, but Valdes-Scantling’s hands have been noticeably better so far in camp. Not just on blatantly catchable balls, some of which he has dropped in the past, but on passes he has no business catching, too. If he keeps this up, he’s the clear-cut No. 2 wideout behind Davante Adams.
The story said Valdes-Scantling isn’t just a deep-ball threat anymore, and that’s scary for defenses that have largely been able to game plan for a one-dimensional receiver in the past. Perhaps the biggest thing to take away is "if he keeps this up." We currently rank MVS as the team's WR4 behind Cobb and Lazard.

Packers WR Davante Adams (ankle) returned to take limited reps Friday after missing practice Thursday. He's good to go.
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was listed as did not practice on the team's official practice report for Thursday.
There were reports earlier today that Adams was following the same limited activity practice sessions as he did in previous weeks, so perhaps he did not do enough to avoid a DNP tag. It is important to note that Adams was listed as limited, DNP, and limited in Week 11 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday respectively, so it appears that the Packers are indeed following the same load management routine. Still, anytime one of the top receivers in all of football gets the DNP tag, it is worth noting and monitoring. We should get an official word on his Week 12 status following tomorrow's practice session. Adams is our number one ranked receiver for Week 12.
