RB Damien Williams is questionable to return with a knee injury.

Fantasy Impact: 

We'll have to see how serious the injury is. Both Williams and McCoy struggled to get going today against the Raiders, especially in the run game. If Williams misses time, McCoy and Thompson will get the work.

LeSean McCoy’s addition to the Chiefs shakes up the running back depth chart. The Chiefs will now have McCoy, Damien Williams, Darwin Thompson and Darrel Williams in the running back room, with McCoy, 31, likely to take a large percentage of the reps along with starter Damien Williams.

Fantasy Impact: 

Williams and McCoy are both capable of catching passes out of the backfield so this could even cut into Williams' value in PPR leagues. Reid typically doesn't use a committee at RB, but this is certainly shaping up to look like some kind of split with Williams and McCoy getting a bulk of the work. Perhaps most hurt here is Darwin Thompson who moves down on the depth chart.

Damien Williams, Darwin Thompson and Darrel Williams were the backs who got first team snaps at Chiefs practice today. Carlos Hyde got none though he did work with the backups.

Fantasy Impact: 

Those with Damien Williams at RB should probably not look at Hyde as a handcuff. Speculation is Hyde doesn't make it through cuts based on this tweet.

Offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy said the Chiefs would be patient with Damien Williams.

"He's the starter," Bieniemy said. "We need to make sure than Damien continues to do the things he needs to do in order to help himself be ready when called upon."

Fantasy Impact: 

Williams has prepared in the offseason to be the starter but an early hamstring injury may have some wonder if he can handle the load. The good news is Reid hasn't really used a committee approach at RB during his time with the Eagles and Chiefs, so as long as Williams performs he should put up fantasy numbers.
