Seattle Seahawks tight end Anthony McCoy suffered a torn Achilles tendon during organized team activities this week and underwent surgery on Thursday repair the injury, a person informed of the diagnosis told USA TODAY Sports.

The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the team hasn't confirmed the injury, said McCoy will miss at least six months.

Fantasy Impact:

This could mean additional work for Zach Miller, who didn't do much during the regular season (38-396-3), but did post 12 catches (on 15 targets) for 190 yards and a TD in two playoff games against the Redskins and Falcons. He averaged 3.6-38-.33 over his final nine games (including the postseason) which translates to 57-601-5.3 (TE15 numbers) over the course of a 16-game season. He's just 27, and had a couple of very solid seasons for the Raiders in 2009 and 2010. He played 85% of Seattle's snaps in 2012.
