It was a tough morning practice for fourth-round pick Anthony Hill, a tight end known primarily for his blocking ability. The Texans ran several pass plays to Hill, and he missed multiple passes thrown by quarterback Matt Schaub. One time, coach Gary Kubiak said, "Come on, 87, make the play!" On a similar pass play about 15 yards up the middle, Hill caught a pass but was stripped by free safety Brandon Harrison. Later, Hill caught a touchdown pass in the red zone and got a lot of encouragement from his teammates. He has to catch the ball in practice and continue to prove his ability to block.

Giants HC John Harbaugh believes both Cam Skattebo and Malik Nabers will practice during training camp

"Skatt will be ready early on in camp and Malik will be working his way into practice as camp gets started one way or another," Harbaugh said. "There's a lot of optimism around both of those guys right now. I feel really good about their respective paths. I don't want to make any guarantees, but I think you'll see a lot of those guys this season. Skatt is further ahead based on the type of injury, but Malik is not far behind. He's in a good place right now."

Fantasy Impact:

Harbaugh has been all over the place in reference to Malik Nabers' availability, but this is at least a good sign. Seeing him on the field at any point this pre-season would help to solidify his odds of starting the regular season healthy, but there's still a very real possibility that he starts the season on PUP. We would still be easily avoiding him at his third-round ADP as it stands.

As for Cam Skattebo, he should have a far cleaner path toward returning solid RB2 production with no further setbacks.

Carroll: Geno Smith has high-ankle sprain, indicates season is over

Raiders head coach Pete Carroll told reporters that quarterback Geno Smith suffered a high-ankle sprain during Sunday’s loss to the Giants.

Fantasy Impact:

Carroll seems to indicate Smith’s season is over. "That's pretty hard to bounce back," Carroll said. “That might knock him out of next week, we'll have to wait and see." While Carroll didn’t rule Smith out for next week, there is zero reason to play him at this point. The Raiders are one loss away from securing the No. 1 pick in the 2026 draft. It could be another start for Kenny Pickett against the Chiefs.

Between injuries and rough surroundings, the trade for Smith (and subsequent contract extension) did not pan out well at all for the Raiders. Getting the No. 1 pick will put them in position for either Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza or Oregon QB Dante Moore.

George Kittle out for Sunday Night Football

Kittle did not practice all week due to a sprained ankle and is now officially out for a key Sunday night game. Jake Tonges will step in as the top tight end and has some streaming potential if you are in a pinch. Elsewhere, WR Ricky Pearsall is active.
