Eagles coach Andy Reid said that WR DeSean Jackson, who was injured by a punishing hit Sunday, had yet to pass a concussion test as of early Wednesday afternoon and that he would not play against the Titans.

"His discomfort is just where he took the blow, on the right side, right shoulder area kind of up through the neck area," Reid said. "But he's working through that and he's sharp mentally. . . . But he's very sore right now."

Reid could not commit to Jackson's returning after next week's bye and in time for the Nov. 7 game against the Colts. Whether he's out for one game or more, the offense will be missing one of the game's great playmakers.
