Alec Pierce questionable to return with heel injury

Commanders QB Jayden Daniels suffered a dislocated left elbow in Sunday's 37-20 loss to the Cowboys.

This is the second season in a row Daniels suffered this injury, as he also dislocated his left elbow early last November. He wound up missing the rest of the season. Part of that was likely due to Washington's season becoming lost by that point, as they were sitting at 3-6. Of course, things aren't off to a great start in 2026, as the Commanders are 0-2 with two division losses. Tests Monday will help determine how long Daniels will be out for. Marcus Mariota steps in at quarterback while Daniels is out.

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan told reporters Sunday the injury to WR Mike Evans doesn't look serious, while WR Demarcus Robinson likely has a high ankle sprain.

Evans left Sunday's game against the Dolphins with a hip injury and was listed as questionable, but given Shanahan's comments, Evans likely won't be out long, perhaps being able to play next week against the Cardinals.

As for Robinson, a high ankle sprain means he'll likely miss a few weeks. We know Patriots WR A.J. Brown is going to miss about six weeks with his ankle injury. George Kittle ended up leading the 49ers in receiving Sunday with four catches for 80 yards and a touchdown. Five 49ers saw either three or four targets in the 35-13 win over the Dolphins.

Bears QB Caleb Williams was carted off with an apparent

The injury happened midway through the fourth quarter as Williams ran to the left and went down after getting tripped up. He was carted from the medical tent to the locker room. Tyson Bagent has replaced Williams. We’ll have more details as they become available.
