Williams will make his NFL debut Sunday against the Jaguars. Williams is returning from his ACL injury during last season's national championship game. The Lions moved up 20 spots in the draft, trading with division rival Minnesota, to select Williams at No. 12 overall. They took their time with Williams and now are ready to let him get loose on the field and get his first taste of NFL action. Williams checks in as our WR68 this week.
Mitchell has a torn MCL that will sideline him 6-8 weeks, so this was a procedural move for the 49ers and the second time Mitchell will be on IR after missing seven games prior to returning on November 12. They'll likely rest him until the playoffs, so his fantasy season is effectively over.
The move all but ends Stafford’s season. He can return in Week 17, but the season will have been long gone by then, so there is really no need for the Rams to play him. Doesn’t mean they won’t, but there’s almost no benefit to play him. The Rams could mix between John Wolford and Bryce Perkins going forward. Stafford can be safely dropped at this point.
