Shane Steichen says Daniel Jones injury ‘not looking good’

Raiders QB Geno Smith left Sunday’s game against the Broncos with a shoulder injury and did not return.

Smith initially left the game with a hand injury but did return from that before the shoulder injury knocked him out for the rest of the game. Head coach Pete Carroll said Smith’s shoulder is “really locked up” but the good news is there doesn’t seem to be any damage to his shoulder. Kenny Pickett came on in relief of Smith and went 8/11 for 97 yards and a touchdown. We’ll monitor Smith this week as the Raiders prepare to travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in Week 15.

Commanders TE Zach Ertz is feared to have torn his ACL during Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.

Ertz was very emotional as he was carted off the field with an air cast. Ertz has been one of the best tight ends to play the game throughout his career. We’ll likely get confirmation by tomorrow, but the early word is not good. Ertz had one catch for 11 yards Sunday and caught four touchdowns this season.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn told reporters after Sunday’s game against the Vikings that is was his call to hold quarterback Jayden Daniels out following his elbow injury.

Quinn ultimately plays it safe with his franchise quarterback after he injured his left elbow, the same one that was dislocated earlier this season, during an interception return. The game got out of hand, as Washington was shutout 31-0 and the season has long been lost — Washington now sits at 3-10 and in the mix for the No. 1 pick in the draft. We’ll see how Daniels is handled during the week leading up to next week’s game against the Giants. Daniels went 9/20 for 78 yards and an interception. Marcus Mariota went 2/4 for 30 yards with an interception.
