Lost in the interceptions and the frantic comeback by the Seahawks on Sunday was another strong game for running back Kenneth Walker III.
That led to this comment Monday from head coach Mike Macdonald, one that could also have reverberations for the future.
“I think Ken’s showing that he’s earning more opportunities to get the ball,” Macdonald said.

Macdonald reiterated that wasn’t necessarily a statement on Charbonnet, who has been sharing playing time with Walker — Walker has 284 snaps to Charbonnet’s 279 — but more a reflection of how Walker has been playing of late. Walker went 16-67-0 and added 44 yards receiving. He had a 15-yard rushing TD called back on a penalty. The story added Walker has 19 runs of 10 yards or better, which is ninth in the NFL according to PFF. He's just 18th in carries however, so it seems the Seahawks are hoping a few more touches will produce even better numbers. Charbonnet had 11 carries for 37 yards vs. the Rams.

The Texans won’t have quarterback C.J. Stroud for a third consecutive game, coach DeMeco Ryans announced Tuesday. But it appears backup quarterback Davis Mills will have No. 1 wide receiver Nico Collins and tight end Dalton Schultz.
Collins (ankle) and Schultz (shoulder) returned to full participation on Tuesday. Both were estimated as limited participants on Monday, the story said. Collins' last three weeks have been good: 7-75-0, 7-136-0 and 9-92-1. Schultz has also been good over the last three weeks: 6-77-0, 7-53-1 and 6-51-0.

The team is optimistic Jaylen Warren will play on Sunday against the Bears.

HC Mike Tomlin said Warren will be limited early in the week. In a news item Monday, Warren said he likely could have come back into Week 11's game, so it all adds up to what is hopefully Warren ready to go against the Bears. It's an earlier Sunday game, so owners will know well in advance as far as their lineup goes. Gainwell would likely be the main back with Johnson getting some work should Warren be unable to go.
