Jay Cutler has high ankle sprain

Bears QB Jay Cutler has been diagnosed with a high left ankle sprain and his status is being considered “week-to-week.”

That will probably keep him from playing against the Ravens in Week 11 as the Bears surely would like to avoid a repeat of Sunday’s hobbled Cutler in the lineup for games they’ll have to win to make strides in the playoff chase.

Fantasy Impact:

Josh McCown will start in place of Cutler, at least this week, as high ankle sprains usually take time. McCown has played pretty well in his limited time this season and is 42-for-70 for 538 yards and four TDs with no INTs in about two full games of work. He's also rushed five times for 53 yards. He's likely a QB2 option against the Ravens this week when our rankings come out.
