Darren McFadden has been wearing a walking boot all week and has also needed crutches to get around.
"That mid-foot sprain is really something," Raiders coach Hue Jackson said. "You have to get back to walking first before you can do anything, so my main thing is to get him out of that walking boot first. That would be huge progress, and I think he's closer to having that happen."
The fact that McFadden is still in a walking boot is worrisome. The popular opinion was that the Raiders were just being cautious with a Thursday game this week because DMC would have nine more days to get ready for Week 11. But if he's not even able to walk on the foot, his availability for Week 11 is in question. The Raiders have the Packers, Lions and Chiefs in the fantasy playoffs (W14-16). The Lions and Packers have been tough against RBs while the Chiefs represent a nice matchup for McFadden, should he be back by then.
