Cardinals go with Gardner Minshew as QB1

Nov 02, 2026

Minshew Mania is back in business.

Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur confirmed in his Monday press conference that Gardner Minshew will serve as the team’s starting quarterback after he led a dramatic comeback victory over the Cowboys.

Related players: Carson Beck, Jacoby Brissett

Fantasy Impact:

Beck will be the backup according to the story. Minshew led a furious comeback against the Cowboys after taking over for Brissett in the second half. We've seen the writing on the wall for Brissett despite the team saying they were going to stick with him. However, it looked like a better chance Beck would take over vs. Minshew. Beck could still end up the starter at some point if Minshew begins to struggle. Ian Rapoport brought up the possibility the Ravens trade for Brissett with Lamar Jackson possibly done for the season. Brissett owners should hang on to him for a bit longer, just in case he's moved before the deadline.

Seahawks activating RB Jadarian Price for MNF

The Seahawks plan to activate first-round RB Jadarian Price from Injured Reserve to play tonight against the Bears, source says. His first game action since Sept. 27.

Related players: Zach Charbonnet, Emanuel Wilson, George Holani

Fantasy Impact:

Charbonnet is also set to return tonight, making this week's backfield pretty crowded in Seattle. The Seahawks could ease Charbonnet back into action, making him a riskier fantasy play, meaning Wilson and Price split a lot of the work against the Bears. Going forward, fantasy owners will need more information so this backfield can be sorted out. One would think Charbonnet and Price emerge as the top-two. But don't forget, Price was benched due to fumbles before going on IR, giving the job to Wilson.

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love dealing with new ankle injury

LaFleur said the ankle injury for Jeremiyah Love is a “new” one compared to the previous two.

Related players: Tyler Allgeier, Zonovan Knight

Fantasy Impact:

As we just reported, Knight is in protocol and so it's very possible he misses next week's game. Reports say the Cardinals aren't ruling out placing Love on IR due to the injury, but that remains to be seen. It's also very possible Allgeier is the team's only healthy back heading into Week 8. There's a chance frustrated owners dropped Allgeier this past week with Love coming back and Knight mostly outperforming him over the last two games. Allgeier went off for 11-147-1 and 5-44-1 against the Cowboys, so if he's on your wire he should be added, even if it's for the short term.

Zonovan Knight is in the concussion protocol, Mike LaFleur said.

Related players: Jeremiyah Love, Tyler Allgeier

Fantasy Impact:

Love is now dealing with a new ankle injury which means Allgeier could be the team's only back heading into Week 9. Players typically miss the following week of action when placed in protocol so Knight owners should be prepared. Allgeier went off for 11-147-1 and 5-44-1 in Week 8, possibly after getting dropped to the wire since Love returned and Knight had outperformed him the last two weeks. Allgeier will be worth grabbing if he's on your wire, even if it's for the short term.
