Bryan Edwards has been the recipient of off-season praise from beat writers, coaches, and teammates alike, all summer, most recently from quarterback Derek Carr and head coach Jon Gruden. Carr once again compared the second-year wideout to former Fresno State teammate Davante Adams, noting that his body control and strong hands remind him of the Green Bay Packers superstar. Head coach Jon Gruden offered this: 'Edwards has great ability … he looks like T.O.,” Gruden said on NFL Network last week. “He looks like one of the No. 1 wideouts in the league'. While hearing coaches talk up younger players is nothing new for this time of the year, this is a reminder that Edwards has a chance to emerge as a top option in the Raiders passing attack, especially if Carr's affinity for the wideout continues to grow. Currently 87th in our wide receiver rankings, Edwards could scream up draft boards with a strong showing during the preseason.
