Bears QB Jay Cutler (thumb) wouldn't have practiced Monday

The Chicago Bears did not practice on Monday, but since NFL rules require teams that play on Thursday to release an injury report, the club said quarterback Jay Cutler (thumb) would not have participated had there been an official workout.

With Chicago ranked 32nd in points scored (16.8 points per game), head coach John Fox eventually has to decide between Brian Hoyer and Cutler, who has missed four consecutive games due to a sprained right thumb.

Fantasy Impact:

The Bears loss to the Jags seemed to open the door for Cutler to replace Hoyer, but Cutler may not be ready on a short week.
