In his final eight games, Johnson racked up an average of 94 total yards (5.53 YPC) and 0.5 touchdowns on 16.1 touches per game. HC Matt Patricia is committed to the run, so Johnson should be heavily involved in 2019.
Johnson is eligible to return in Week 16 against the Broncos. Certainly a surprising move with the Lions season lost and being only two games left to play. Week 16 means you would only have him for the championship round, unless you play in a league with a Week 17 championship. Proceed with caution on Johnson, with Bo Scarborough running the ball well.
DET RB Kerryon Johnson - Week 7 Fantasy Football Outlook
Week 7 vs. Minnesota Vikings
The Packers held Kerryon Johnson to 34 yards on 13 carries last Monday but he was able to score his third TD of ’19 from a yard out. Despite being the team’s workhorse, he has rushed for fewer than 50 yards in four of the five games this season. Johnson is averaging just 3.3 yards per carry and has a tough matchup versus the Vikings stout run defense that is yielding only 92 yards per game on the ground. Consider Johnson an RB2 play.
