Cody Latimer (concussion) out, Bennie Fowler (hamstring) questionable for Giants

Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports Cody Latimer (concussion) is out and Bennie Fowler (hamstring) is questionable for Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers.

Fantasy Impact:

The gloom continues for the Giants’ wide receiver group. Fortunately, Sterling Shepard cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play Sunday. Rookie WR Darius Slayton is also expected to make his debut. A mishmash to say the least for the debuting Daniel Jones.

Todd Gurley good to go for Sunday

Rams RB Todd Gurley was removed for the injury report Friday and is good to go for Sunday’s game against the Falcons.

Fantasy Impact:

Gurley was a full participant in practice Friday after returning on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday and is ready to face a Falcons defense that is 16th in our schedule adjusted rankings against opposing fantasy running backs. Malcolm Brown will still be involved but Gurley is back as a top option for a Rams team that is reeling and desperate for a win against a Falcons team that is even more desperate.

Alvin Kamara and Jared Cook will not play Sunday

Updating an earlier item, Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) and TE Jared Cook (ankle) will not play Sunday.

Fantasy Impact:

Fire up Latavius Murray as a flex and Josh Hill is a TE2 streaming option. Murray is on a small streak after outperforming Kamara in Week 7 and now will see more work with Kamara out. The Bears are a favorable matchup against tight ends but have not allowed a touchdown to the position since Week 1.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara (ankle, knee) and TE Jared Cook (ankle) both missed practice Friday and are considered questionable for Sunday against the Bears.

Fantasy Impact:

Both players ended up missing practice all week with their respective injuries. We’re awating the official word so keep a watch out for the final designations. If Kamara can’t go, Latavius Murray gets his shot at the lion’s share of the work, while Josh Hill will get the call at tight end.
