The Training Room: 7 Draft-Worthy Fantasy Football Players With Injury Concerns

Injuries can make or break your season in fantasy football. It is important to be aware of various injuries as you enter draft season. Here is the second part of a series of four articles discussing certain players who are dealing with injuries, including sections discussing which players to buy and which players to fade due to injury.
Malik Nabers, WR NYG
Injury: Toe, Left Shoulder
Despite dealing with the same chronic injuries as he dealt with last year, many are discussing the risk involved and the potential need to fade him at cost. He was not faded last year, but maybe that is because he was significantly cheaper as a rookie. Once a player reaches the top tier of value, such as the first round in drafts, we tend to pick apart the finer details a bit too much. The toe injury has been bothering him since college, yet it has not limited his route-running ability, explosiveness, acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, or jumping ability.
At some point, this injury may rear its ugly head, but I am not betting on that for this season. He also may have aggravated a prior left shoulder injury, suspected labrum injury from college, in camp after landing with his arm outstretched. He was practicing the next day without issue, so I do not think we need to be worried about this for now. Draft him accordingly.
